As our
school family gathers together each morning for prayer in the All Purpose
Hall, we remember all those
who have been an important part of the foundation on which we stand today
at Sacred Heart Private School.
Many
alumni have visited us this year and remarked that S.H.P.S. is “just like
they remembered it.” We are
always happy to hear the stories of special teachers, classes and
activities that were part of your formative years. You will be pleased to
know that today the school is alive, well and serving one hundred and
eighty students of diverse cultural backgrounds. We continue to give our
students a strong foundation in their faith, literature, mathematics,
writing and all the core subjects and also have excellent programs in
technology, foreign language, music and art.
You are
also welcome to come and visit the school whenever you are in the area.
At the
request of alumni and other friends of the school, we are finally in the
process of forming a database of alumni and those former students who
would like to be considered “alumni.” Old attendance registers have been
the source of our addresses but we know many are outdated and inaccurate.
We are hoping that before you
can send us all the addresses of S.H.P.S. graduates you have in your
address book!! We will then begin the process of updating this
information and start planning for alumni mailings and gatherings. This is
a large task but we are confident that the alumni of our school will help
make the work “light” with their gracious assistance.
Sacred
Heart Private continues to provide a nurturing environment for students
today as it has for the past sixty-seven years.
You are an important part of that history and we look forward to
hearing from you.
