Uniforms
We take pride in the appearance of our students.  The dress code reflects the quality of the school and the conduct of the students.   It is important that you take pride in your appearance by wearing your complete uniform, always remembering that by wearing it inside and outside the classroom and the school you are representing the school and your behavior should be a credit to both yourself and the school community.  All students must wear the school uniform as specified.  These specifications are listed so that all parents will know what is expected of each student.  Flynn and O’Hara Uniform Company is the only provider of Sacred Heart Private School’s uniforms.  Look for the Flynn and O’Hara label on the clothing you purchase.

BOY’S UNIFORM

Pre-Kindergarten – Grade 5

  • Boys in Pre-Kindergarten must wear the Uniform Khaki Pants with the elastic waist (they do not need to wear a belt with these pants).  They may also wear the knit shirt (long or short sleeves) throughout the entire school year.  When the knit shirt is worn, no tie is required.

  • White Uniform Dress Shirt (long or short sleeves)

  • Uniform Khaki Pants/Belt

  • Uniform Maroon Plaid Tie

  • Maroon Cardigan Sweater with School Logo (All students must have a uniform sweater to be worn when a sweater is needed at school liturgies and other special occasions.  No other sweater may be worn in school.)

  • Maroon or Black Socks

  • Uniform Shoes (see Shoe Guidelines)

Grades 6-8

  • White Uniform Oxford Shirt (long or short sleeves)

  • Uniform Khaki Pants/Belt

  • Uniform Striped Middle School Tie     

  • Maroon Cardigan or Pullover Sweater with School Logo
    (All students must have a uniform sweater to be worn when a sweater is needed.
    No other sweater may be worn in school.)

  • Uniform Shoes (See Shoe Guidelines)

Optional Summer Uniform

  • Khaki Uniform Walking Shorts with Uniform Belt

  • White Summer Shirt with School Logo

  • Summer Shirt May be Worn with Shorts or Regular Length Pants

  • Maroon or White Socks

GIRL’S UNIFORM

  • White Uniform Blouse with Peter Pan Collar (long or short sleeves)

  • Maroon Plaid Drop Waist Jumper

  • Maroon Cardigan Sweater with School Logo (All students must have a uniform sweater to be worn when a sweater is needed.  No other sweater may be worn in school.)

  • Maroon Knee Socks or Maroon Tights (from Flynn & O’Hara)

  • Uniform Shoes (See Shoe Guidelines)

Grades 6-8

  • White Oxford Uniform Blouse (long or short sleeves)

  • Maroon Plaid Wrap-Around Kilt

  • Maroon Cardigan Sweater or Pullover Sweater with School Logo (All students must have a uniform sweater to be worn when a sweater is needed.  No other sweater may be worn in school.)

  • Maroon Knee Socks or Maroon Tights from Flynn & O’Hara

  • Black Shoes (following our Middle School guidelines)
     

Optional “Winter Wear” for all Girls
During the months of November, December, January, February, and March, girls may substitute a white uniform turtleneck with the school logo for the regular uniform blouse.  Girls who choose to wear the turtleneck must wear a uniform sweater (any style) with the turtleneck.

  • Maroon Knee Socks or White Ankle Socks (these ankle socks must come at least 2 inches above the top of the shoe at the heel.)

GYM UNIFORMS  -  All Students

  • Maroon Sweatshirt with School Logo

  • Maroon Sweatpants with School Logo

  • Ash Tee Shirt with School Logo

  • White Ankle Socks (these ankle socks must come at least 2 inches above the top of the shoe at the heel.)

Optional
Maroon Gym Shorts with School Logo (Worn with the Ash Tee Shirt with School Logo)
(During the school day gym sweatpants must be worn over these shorts. During physical education classes the gym shorts may be worn.  When the Summer Uniform is worn, the gym shorts may be worn during the school day.)

Uniform  Shoes
 All students must wear the same style of shoe as carried by Carousel Shoe Store and displayed on our website.  We strongly encourage you to purchase your shoes at Carousel since they are more durable.   However, if you do not purchase your at Carousel, all shoes must be extremely similar to these shoes since the school shoe is considered uniform.  Girls in grades Pre-K – 1 must wear the buckle or Velcro strap shoe.  Boys in Pre-K must wear the buckle or Velcro strap shoe. Girls in Gr. 2 & 3 have the option of wearing the Velcro strap or buckle type shoe.  Girls in Gr. 4 – 8 and all boys in Grades K - 8 must wear the tie shoe.  Once again, the shoe must be extremely similar in style to the shoe supplied by Carousel Shoe Store and displayed on our website.
