Calendar Reminders:

• We will NOT be having Stations of the Cross tomorrow, 2/15.

• There is No School for all on Monday (18^th) and Tuesday (19^th) – Presidents’ Day & Winter Holiday.

• School will be in session as usual on Wednesday (20^th), Thursday (21^st) and Friday (22^nd.)

• The February Tuition Raffle is due on or before Wednesday, February 20^th.  You can’t win if you don’t participate. 

• Tuesday, March 4^th is Spring Picture Day.

Calendar Updates
At our Faculty meeting last week we spent some time planning Student Activities for the remainder of the year.  Next week we will be sending home a Save-the-Date flyer so you can plan and budget.  However, this week I’d like you to mark some special days on the yearly calendar:

1. Friday, April 18^th:  Spring Holiday – No School

2. Monday, May 5^th:  School will be in session for all.

3. Wednesday, June 18^th:  Grade 7 Sending Forth Ceremony @ 5:00 p.m.

The Season of Lent – this Second Week of Lent We Sow Seeds of Love by Praying …

We pray for our families & friends.
We pray for ourselves.

Yesterday was our first experience of “bad weather” this year, so let’s review: When we have a significant snowfall, please listen to:

• 1010 WINS News or

• News 12 Bronx or

• WCBS-TV Channel 2 or

• visit www.1010wins.com or www.CBSNewYork.com.

If you hear that all schools in the Archdiocese of New York are closed or all Bronx Catholic Schools are closed, know that this includes Sacred Heart Private School.  If that is the case, I will make sure that you will also hear Sacred Heart Private School on Zerega Ave. is CLOSED.    So, what you listen for is:  Sacred Heart Private School on Zerega Ave. is CLOSED.   If you don’t hear any of these messages, we are OPEN and you don’t need to call. 

Also, we will make every effort to put the CLOSED message on our school answering machine and school website.  If you don’t hear it or see it – we will be OPEN so there will be no need to call. 

I know often you “just want to be sure” but it becomes very difficult for us to handle all the phone calls!  So, I do thank you for your patience and for your cooperation.
