Holy Week
Although our Easter vacation begins on Wednesday, March 19th,
Thursday, Friday and Saturday of that week are the days of
the Easter
Triduum, the most sacred days of our Christian heritage. On
these days we remember when Jesus gave us the Eucharist and
an example of service at the Holy Thursday services, when
Jesus died on the cross at the Good Friday services and when
Jesus rose from the dead during the Easter Vigil on Holy
Saturday. I would ask that you consider attending these
services with your youngsters.
During
this Holy Week we remember that
We sow seeds of
love by .....Listening We
do this when we:
|
♣ listen to Jesus in the bible
|
♣
listen to Jesus when He speaks to us in nature |
|
♣ listen to Jesus in our parents. |
♣
listen to Jesus in silence in church. |
|
♣ listen to Jesus in our teachers. |
♣
listen to Jesus as he dies on the cross. |

Financial Matters
-
The
March Tuition Raffle
was
due yesterday. Once again, you can’t win if you d on’t
participate. I hope you recall that I explained a while
ago why you would be receiving 3 Tuition Raffles in
March & April: you will not receive any in June.
As was stated before, families who are two months
behind with Tuition Raffle payments will have the
balance added to their SMART tuition balance. Thanks to
the majority of you who so promptly make their returns
each month – you are a blessing!
-
2007
– 2008 Tuition: As of Monday, March 10, 2008 we have
$67,031
in Delinquent Tuition.
Once we add the delinquent After School Payments
and Tuition Raffle payments to your tuition
totals, this number will dramatically increase. I still
need to pay the teachers for the remainder of this year
and so I need you to be prompt with your payments – all
kinds of payments. I have been receiving Release of
Records request forms and please keep in mind that I
will not be able to release any records until your
financial obligations are totally satisfied.

SHPS – Forever in Our Hearts
7th Grade Students and some parents have designed
a T-shirt to capture our days at Sacred Heart Private
School. The HSO will purchase the T-shirts for each of our
students (each grade will have a different color.)
However, I want to offer our school parents, grandparents,
etc. the opportunity to purchase a T-shirt with the same
message:
Sacred Heart
Private – Forever in Our Hearts.
There is an order form enclosed in the packet; however, we
will need to have the orders and payments in before Easter
Vacation – next Monday, March 17th. So,
if you are interested: take action NOW! On the
order form, just give size for student (no money needed) and
for adults the amount of each size and enclose $5.75 per
shirt.

Regular Reminders:
-
I
know many of you have visited a number of schools and
have left your name but haven’t taken the
final step of
registering.
I understand that this is a very important but difficult
decision for you. However, I urge you to make a
decision very soon before available places are no longer
available. The schools will not be able to hold a place
for you for much longer because they do need to have a
secure enrollment.
-
Once
you make the difficult decision on a school for your
child for September, please remember to send in the
Release of Records Form
so
that we can begin to prepare to send out your
youngster’s records in a timely manner. If you can’t
find the Release of Records Form, you can download it
from our website. Thank you.
Once Again ……… Be sure you have marked
your
calendar
with the following dates:
-

Cross:

Classroom Highlights

The
Kindergarten
certainly has been busy! We celebrated the 100 Days of
School and Chinese New Year and both Kindergarten and PreK
loved the time they spent together. Last week, the students
learned about “Leap Year” and in Art created colorful
jumping frogs! They received wonderful treats for the
memorable “Leap Day”! Thank you to Mrs. Ardon for her
creative crafts and to the Kindergarten class for being such
great sports! We had them “hopping” at our party on Friday.

Kindergarten class visited
the S.H.P.S Science Fair on Friday in the APH. They had so
many questions and we will doing some of those experiments
in our Science class too.
Last Friday, we finished
learning the last consonant “W”. We celebrated a Willie and
Wanda Wedding and the Pre-K students were the wedding
guests. We played games and ate “W”edding cake and waffles
and wish you were there too! |
