Do You Remember?
Friday, May 30th is our school’s major feast day, the
Solemnity of the Sacred Heart of Jesus All are invited to attend our 9:00 a.m. Liturgy which includes the Enthronement of the Sacred Heart Ceremony.  Seventh grader, Jason Stringfellow has been selected to crown the statue of the Sacred Heart of Jesus.   To celebrate this special day, students will have a special treat and dismissal will be at 11:15 a.m.

It’s Not Too Late for …………………………….

  1. Graduation Donations to be made in Memory of or to Honor a family member or friend.  We have forms in the office.  (I haven’t typed the program yet!)  This is a good way for your family to be remembered in our final graduation!

  2. You to make “reservations” for our Closing Mass & International Family Picnic.  We have forms in the office for this, too.  We need to order enough tables and chairs for everyone.

Financial Matters

  • Tuition reminders were sent home to specific families who contribute to the over $35,000 in late tuition – is this fair to the other families?

  • We still have a number of families who have not sent in the May Tuition Raffle payment.  You have received a notice in the packet last week reminding you.

  • Also, please check to see whether or not you are one of the families who have an Extended Day balance.  Mrs. Pieretti regularly sends out notices.

Please remember that all financial obligations of your contract with SHPS must be paid before Final Exams are taken (they begin next Monday), final report cards, cap & gowns and diplomas are given or before records are sent to other schools.  Thank you in advance for your attention to this matter.

  • Dismissal will be at 11:15 a.m. on June 16, 18, and 19 as per Archdiocesan Guidelines.  Please be on time at dismissal so that the teachers may get to their end-of-year responsibilities.

Good Manners Needed
I know that in the search for the “right” school for your child, you have been “shopping around.”
You may have decided on a school, registered and then found a school more to your liking.  That is your choice.  However, I hope you have had the courtesy to call the first school at which you registered and informed them that your child would not be attending.  Many of my principal colleagues are holding places for students who I know are registered elsewhere.  This is not a good reflection on your family name.   I know you get busy and involved but please make the call so that those who have welcomed you are not left turning away other prospective students.  Thank you.
